Tiny Pretty Things by Sona Charaipotra & Dhonielle Clayton

Genre: Contemporary, Thriller, Young Adult

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Summary:
Gigi, Bette, and June, three top students at an exclusive Manhattan ballet school, have seen their fair share of drama. Free-spirited new girl Gigi just wants to dance—but the very act might kill her. Privileged New Yorker Bette’s desire to escape the shadow of her ballet star sister brings out a dangerous edge in her. And perfectionist June needs to land a lead role this year or her controlling mother will put an end to her dancing dreams forever. When every dancer is both friend and foe, the girls will sacrifice, manipulate, and backstab to be the best of the best.

My Thoughts: Warning Slight Spoilers. ⚠️

This book was really good and very addictive to read. The characters are interesting and complex and the drama was really endless in this book. The girls in this book were so backstabbing and terrible but at the same time they were so fun to read about.

Bette, June & Gigi are three different girls but with one similar goal.Bette & June are  not exactly good people. But they are written in such a complex way that you kinda understand why they act that way. It still doesn’t excuse the bullying Bette did to Gigi.

My favorite character is Gigi because she’s just a little optimistic cinnamon roll that’s caught up in the cutthroat world of ballet. One thing I hated was Gigi’s romance with Alec. I don’t know but I really don’t care for Alec and I still think he has feelings for Bette. The only romance I liked in the book was June/Jayhe and even that relationship was sorta messy.

In the end of the novel, Gigi got hit by a car but someone pushed her. I honestly think Will did it. Will is Alec’s best friend. He’s also hopelessly in love with Alec. Will seems the most suspicious to me.

I really love this book and I can’t wait to read the second novel.
